How often should an aircond be serviced?
It depends on the room rather than the calendar. A unit running most of the day, or one in a kitchen, a shop or a home near a busy road, loads up with dust far faster than a bedroom used only at night. We will tell you what your filters and coil actually looked like at the visit, so you can judge the right interval for your own space.
My unit is running but the room will not get cold. What is wrong?
That one symptom has several possible causes — a dirty coil, a blocked drain, a low refrigerant charge, a failing capacitor or a control fault. Each needs a different fix, which is why the visit starts with an inspection rather than a guess. You will be told what was found before any part is replaced.
Do I need a gas top-up if the cooling has dropped?
Sometimes, but not always — a dirty coil and a low charge feel identical from the room. Refrigerant is not consumed either, so if the level has dropped it has escaped somewhere. We check pressures and look for the leak first, because refilling without finding it means paying for gas twice.
